The Cal Poly Public Affairs office uses as its primary reference the Associated Press Stylebook as its primary guide for writing style. Public Affairs has developed a customized guide with exceptions to AP rules for use in university publications and documents.
A department of the University Advancement Division, Cal Poly's Public Affairs Office is responsible for communicating about Cal Poly to our campus community and our external constituents. The office is also responsible for maintaining the university brand.
We work with news media to tell Cal Poly's story. We also edit, produce and publish print, video and electronic communications on behalf of the university.
